Bird Protection Nets
Bird protection nets are used in contexts where the goal is to protect both the human space and the birds — preventing pigeons from entering mechanical shafts, HVAC ducts, or areas where they may become trapped or injured. In this application, the net functions as a humane exclusion barrier that protects birds from hazardous areas while keeping those areas clean and operational.
The product specification for bird protection nets depends on the application. For open balcony and terrace use, a 50mm mesh is standard. For AC outdoor units and duct openings, a tighter 19–25mm mesh is required to exclude smaller birds such as sparrows and mynahs. All nets are cut to shape and finished with UV-resistant edging before installation.
In addition to the netting product itself, a complete bird protection installation includes securing all existing entry points — gaps behind drainpipes, ledge overhangs, and ventilation openings — that birds might use to circumvent the primary net. This gap-sealing work is included in our comprehensive bird protection service as standard.
