Window Bird Protection Nets
Window bird protection nets address the specific challenge of excluding birds from window openings without blocking light, airflow, or the view from inside. Fine-mesh netting systems mounted within the window frame or across the external window face keep sparrows, pigeons, and other birds out while remaining largely transparent when viewed from inside the room.
The net is typically mounted using a tensioned frame system — a lightweight aluminium or SS rectangular frame custom-made to the window dimensions, with the net stretched across it under tension. This frame is then fixed to the window surround using spring clips or corner brackets, making the unit removable for window cleaning without tools. The framed net can also be hinged to allow the window to be opened and closed normally.
For apartments on higher floors where birds frequently perch on external window sills and enter through open windows, a professionally installed window bird protection net is the most effective long-term solution. Unlike curtains or window screens, the net is permanently tensioned and leaves no exploitable gap around the edges.
