Box Cricket Nets
Box cricket nets create the fully enclosed playing area required for the popular box cricket format — a faster, smaller-field variant of cricket played in a three-dimensional net enclosure. Unlike open practice nets, box cricket requires nets on all six faces of the playing area: floor netting, two end nets, two side nets, and a roof net, creating a complete cage within which the game is played.
Box cricket net specifications are typically: 45mm knotted HDPE netting on all six faces, a playing area of 25m x 15m x 6m height, with the side and end nets capable of absorbing the impact of a cricket ball from a powerful batting stroke. The net tension must be uniform across all faces to ensure consistent ball rebound and player safety.
Commercial box cricket facilities also require padded post protection, boundary marking, non-slip floor covering beneath the net if the playing surface requires it, and adequate lighting.
